GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Audit schedule details: The audit is planned for 3 auditors in 1 day.
Business partner information: Yaolong Vietnam Printing Company Limited is located at Lot CN-C9+C10, CN-C9-1, Chau Phong Industrial Complex, Chau Cau Village, Chau Phong Commune, Que Vo Town, Bac Ninh Province, Viet Nam. The facility was established under the business license No. 2301085762 dated on 26 March 2019; latest updated on 20 April 2023 as printing manufacturer. Main production processes are material storage, cutting, printing, coating, lamination,punching, manual folding, inspection, packing and storage.
Audited location information: it occupies 26,283 square meters of land area. There is total 10 buildings in the compound,however only 2 buildings are in scope and under management of audited facility. Remaining 8 buildings are being rent by other facilities and all practices are separated, including management, workers, time recording system, wages and benefits, business license, etc. Details as following:
- Building No. 1: (4-storey building was built in 2020 with an area of 480 m2) is occupied for main office on first floor and foreigner’s dormitory is on second floor, third floor and fourth floor.
- Building No. 2: (2-storey building was built in 2020 with an area of 4,172 m2) is occupied for material warehouse, cutting,printing, inspection on first floor and printing, packing, inspection, finished goods warehouse are on second floor.
- Building No. 3: (2-storey building was built in 2020 with an area of 1,818 m2) is occupied for GOLD TIGER VIETNAM CO., LTD rent.
- Building No. 4: (2-storey building was built in 2020 with an area of 1,818 m2) is occupied for BKWK STATIC ELECTRICITY CO., LTD rent.
- Building No. 5: (2-storey building was built in 2020 with an area of 1,818 m2) is occupied for JIAYI VIETNAM CO., LTD rent.
- Building No. 6: (2-storey building was built in 2020 with an area of 1,818 m2) is occupied for WTL Technology VIETNAM CO., LTD rent.
- Building No. 7: (2-storey building was built in 2021 with an area of 1,348 m2) is occupied for DONGJIE (VIET NAM)

SMART AUTOMATION COMPANY LIMITED rent. The facility did not provide dormitory, transportation and canteen to workers.
Operating shifts and hours: In general, employees are working for 6 days in a week. Sunday is designated as day off. All employees are working in administration shift from 7:30 to 17:00 with break time is from 11:30 to 13:00; except printing and punching section are working into 2 shifts; shift 1 is from 7:30 to 17:00 with break time from 11:30 to 13:00 and shift 2 is from 19:30 to 5:00 of following day with break from 11:30 to 1:00. Only security guards are working in 3 shifts (shift 1 is from 6:00 to 14:00 with break of 30 minutes; shift 2 is from 14:00 to 22:00 with break of 30 minutes and shift 3 is from 22:00 to 6:00 of following day with break of 45 minutes).
Time recording system: Working hours were recorded by fingerprint system with detailed time in and time out information.
Salary payment details: The circle payment is from the first to end of month. Employees’ wages are calculated on monthly salary for all employees. Wages are paid by bank transfer on 10th of following month and no advance payment.
Worker number information: There are total 235 employees (89 male employees and 146 female employees) which include 199 production employees, 36 non-production employees working in the facility. There was total 17 foreigners working at the facility. There was no contractor worker. No temporary workers, agency workers or apprenticeship schemes home employees were used by the facility. There was no youngest employee working in the facility.
Good practices: Nil.
Worker organization details: Trade union of Yaolong Vietnam Printing Company Limited was established in the facility.
Circumstances: There was no different circumstance faced during the monitoring.
The special circumstances can be classified as followed: No issues of incidents, shortcomings, auditor safety, building safety, national events, behavior, and coaching were found during audit.
Summary of findings: Findings were noted in performance areas (PA1, PA2, PA5, PA6 and PA7). Please refer to findings in performance areas for more detail.
#LivingWage calculation: There is no existing data of living wage in Vietnam on Global Living Wage Coalition website.
Auditor had to use manually collected to define living wage at the facility based on Anker methodology.
Precautions taken about #COVID-19 in the facility: The wages were paid correctly during the outbreak period of COVID-19. The facility provided free mask and hand sanitizer to employees freely. The facility conducted testing the temperature of employees and visitors every day during the outbreak period of COVID-19.
